Violence doesn't pass by itself

Most young people between the ages of 16 and 19 who participated in the research already had a relationship and many of them think that violence in relationships is a serious problem among teenagers. Some of those teenagers hear about cases of violence in relationship on a daily basis as such stories form part of their everyday interactions and social networks: approximately one third of young people hangs out with their peers among whom there are persons in violent relationships, and one of five persons said he/she knew directly somebody who is in a violent relationship.
